Study Recruitment: The Early Response Tool

Study Recruitment: The Early Response Tool

19th November, 2021

Researchers from The University of Queensland are conducting a study to evaluate the Early Response Tool – a tool that measures day-to-day issues parents and carers commonly experience when providing care to a child or adolescent with a disability. The end goal of the ERT is to gather a snapshot of an individual family’s strengths and challenges. This study will inform new and improved service delivery practices to identify and support parents/carers and families who may be finding the parenting/caring role challenging.

How you can help:

We are seeking parents or carers of children and adolescents with a disability (up to 18 years) to complete an anonymous survey about their parenting/caring experiences. The survey takes between 10 and 20 minutes to complete, and those who complete the survey can enter a raffle to win one of four $50 Coles Myer Gift Cards.

You can complete the survey online ( using the access password parent. To request a paper copy of the survey, please contact Maria Vassos (m.vassos@uq.edu.au or 0413 769 142). The survey will be available to complete until Friday December 31, 2021.

Any questions regarding the survey or the project in general, please feel free to contact Maria (m.vassos@uq.edu.au or 0413 769 142).
