Perspectives of parents of children with cerebral palsy following surgery for scoliosis: A qualitative study
Does your child have cerebral palsy?
Did your child have surgery for scoliosis in Australia between 2017 and 2020?
Researchers from The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Australian Catholic University and The University of Melbourne are doing a study to find out parents’ perspectives of their child’s scoliosis surgery.
These researchers would like to speak with parents, face-to-face or online, about their experiences of the surgery. The researchers will use the information to develop resources to help other families to make decisions about surgery and to prepare for the surgery, hospitalisation and recovery after surgery. The study will also inform health professionals about the best possible ways of providing care for these children and families.
