Night-time postural care for children at risk of body shape distortion

This is an invitation to participate in an online survey exploring the current clinical practice of Australian physiotherapists working in paediatric disability and implementing night-time postural care (NTPC) for children at risk of body shape distortion.

What would I need to do?

This research project involves participating by self-administering a 10 – 15 minute online survey questionnaire.

The questions will ask you about your understanding of 24-hour postural management, your frequency of implementing NTPC, your perceived knowledge and skills in implementing NTPC and factors that prevent you and assist you in implementing this area of clinical practice.

Who can participate?

AHPRA registered Australian physiotherapists with at least two years’ experience working in paediatric disability. Experience providing assistive technology to support optimal posture is preferred.

What else do I need to know?

This research project is being conducted by a Master of Rehabilitation student at Australian Catholic University (ACU) and supervised by Associate Professor Jane Butler and Dr Lyndal Maxwell. This project has been approved by ACU Human Research Ethics Committee, approval number: 2023-3026E
