Advocacy Achievement and Mentorship Awards: Nominations now open!
Advocacy Achievement Award
Who: The recipient of this award will be acknowledged for their leadership and advocacy efforts, they will have made creative contributions of significance to people with a lived experiences of cerebral palsy and other childhood-onset disabilities.
How: Please email a letter (no more than 400 words) or a video (no more than 3 minutes) that outlines the contributions made by this person. Please include nominator and nominee contact information, length of time and in what role nominator knows the nominee.The winner will be selected based on the Awards and Advocacy Committee ranking. Nominators and nominees do not need to be members of the academy.
When: Nominations are open NOW. Closing date for nominations is: February 28, 2019. The winner and nominator will be informed soon after. The award will be presented at the CRE-CP Symposium Making a Difference, Melbourne April 4-5, 2019 either in person (if they plan to attend) or via video-link.
Mentorship Award
Who: The recipient of this award will be acknowledged for demonstrating outstanding leadership mentoring students, early career clinicians and colleagues in the field of childhood-onset disabilities. Particular focus is placed on the contribution and impact of mentoring to improve services and care, support of advocacy, promoting professionalism, ongoing education, and promoting research and uptake of research for children with disabilities.
How: Please email a letter (no more than 400 words) that: details the mentoring contributions made by this person, nominator and nominee contact information, length of time and in what role nominator knows the nominee. The winner will be selected based on the Awards and Advocacy Committee ranking. Nominators and nominees must be financial members of the academy.
