2020 AACPDM Travel Scholarships
2020 Travel Scholarship Applications for the 74th AACPDM Annual Meeting in New Orleans are now OPEN
Three types of scholarships are offered for each year’s meeting: International Travel Scholarships, Student Travel Scholarships, and OrthoPediatrics®Travel Scholarships.
The deadline for 2020 Annual Meeting travel scholarship applications is April 3, 2020.
2020 International Travel Scholarship
The International Affairs committee seeks AACPDM members who reside outside the United States or Canada who are highly motivated, currently in clinical practice, and who are in a position which will enable them to disseminate knowledge acquired at the meeting to others in their home country. Particular emphasis is placed on assisting those from areas with under-supported medical systems and limited financial resources.
International Travel Scholarship recipients receive:
- Complimentary registration to the annual meeting
- Complimentary ticket to attend the International Networking Luncheon
- Valuable networking opportunities
- Opportunity to learn from multi-disciplinary experts in the field of childhood-onset disabilities
- General assistance from the International Affairs Committee in navigating the meeting location and meeting other members of the Academy
- Reimbursement of transportation, lodging and meal expenses of $1,250 USD

2020 Student Travel Scholarship
The Awards Committee seeks applicants who are AACPDM student members to apply for this scholarship. Scholarship applicants must be an author on an abstract submitted to the Annual Meeting. Preference will be given to scholarship applicants whose abstracts have been accepted.
Student Travel Scholarship recipients receive:
- Complimentary base registration to the annual meeting
- Complimentary registration for three instructional courses
- Valuable networking opportunities
- Opportunity to learn from multi-disciplinary experts in the field of childhood-onset disabilities
- Reimbursement of transportation, lodging and meal expenses up to $1,000 USD (maximum awarded)

2020 OrthoPediatrics® Travel Scholarship
The OrthoPediatrics® Travel Scholarships to the AACPDM Annual Meeting are designed to allow six AACPDM fellow or student members who would not otherwise be able to attend. Scholarships are awarded to: Residents/Fellows in training, Physicians in their first year of practice, and Allied Health professionals (nurses, physical, occupational, speech, and recreational therapists) who are at any point in their career.
OrthoPediatrics® Travel Scholarship recipients receive:
- Complimentary registration to the Annual Meeting
- Valuable networking opportunities
- Opportunity to learn from multi-disciplinary experts in the field of childhood-onset disabilities
- Reimbursement of transportation, lodging and meal expenses up to $1,500 USD (maximum awarded)
